Claims Handler

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: £22,000

An opportunity for a Claims Handler, where you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and handling claims with precision and care. This position requires a professional who is adept at managing multiple tasks efficiently and with a keen eye for detail.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Conduct telephone-based assessments and authorisation of claims
  • Provide written confirmation of claims assessments and decisions.
  • Address and resolve invoice payment queries.
  • Ensure complianceregulatory requirements, data protection, business security, conduct risk, consumer duty, fraud, and anti-money laundering.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, both over the phone and in written form.
  • Participate in regular review meetings and appraisals
  • Build professional relationships with peers and colleagues and support team members to achieve collective goals.
  • Maintain a basic understanding of other departments’ processes and undertake general office duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in customer service and claims handling.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Effective listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple demands.
  • Empathetic with the ability to understand and respond to different perspectives.
  • A customer-centric attitude with a proactive and results-driven approach.
