Planner - Main Contractor
An opportunity has arisen for a Planner to join the team at well established Main Contractor in Oxford. The Planner will report to the Ops Director and Contracts Manager on a daily basis with excellent progression opportunity.

The Planner will provide a complete construction planning service at pre-qualification, preconstruction and construction stages.

You will be based in the office and travel across multiple sites/projects when required.

Provide detailed tender construction programmes from first principles together with method statements for inclusion in Bid submissions.
Provide a contract planning service including development of contract programmes, target programmes, close out programmes and procurement schedules, monitor progress, attend progress meetings, issue progress reports, and reprogramming as required by the planning brief.
Promote the company at pre-qualification, tender and contract interviews, presentations, and meetings.
Undertake independent project progress reporting, including the analysis of the outcome and providing feedback to project teams and senior management and advise on potential mitigations measures.
Review Subcontractors programmes.
Assess requirements and provide comprehensive scaffold, hoist and crane schedules to be used in obtaining competitive and realistic quotations.
Provide to the contract team information release schedules.
Compile comparative programmes for use in substantiation of claims or in disputes.
Working as part of both tendering and project teams
Experience of construction planning on variety of projects from new build, refurb and fitout.
Ability to manage a number of project programmes simultaneously.
The ability to build construction programmes from first principles.
Use of ASTA Planning software; training is available to transfer skills from other planning software where applicable.
Aware of individual Health and Safety responsibilities and adheres to company health and safety policy and procedures.
