Job Description

Our ULC pillar operates in the fixed line sector of telecommunications industry in the North West of England; we are currently looking for a SHEQ Officer to provide invaluable health and safety support and advice to field teams and office staff. Your role as SHEQ Officer will involve:

  • Undertaking periodic risk assessments and implementing more robust procedures when necessary
  • Providing specialist SHEQ advice to colleagues / subcontractors
  • Ensuring contracts are compliant and that positive behaviours are embedded in the day to day works of our operational teams
Qualifications

This is primarily a site-based role which will require a SHEQ professional with previously construction / telecommunications sector experience, in addition to a full UK driving license. You will also possess the following:

  • Understanding of health and safety issues as they relate to the fixed line telecommunicationsspace, and ability to implement processes in line with industry standards
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and subcontractors; we are looking for a team player who can add value to our operational teams
  • IOSH or equivalent (or be working towards this)
  • NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum
