Planet-X are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Copywriter with a deep understanding of the gaming industry and some experience in Web3 technologies is preferred. As a Copywriter at Planet-X, you will be responsible for crafting compelling and engaging copy for our marketing materials, website, social media channels, and other communication platforms. Your words will play a vital role in shaping the narrative and tone of our games, helping us captivate and connect with our players. This opportunity will primarily be a studio based role with hybrid working options. We are a passionate and collaborative team of game developers, designers, artists, and engineers who are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of gaming. The Role
  • Develop captivating and engaging copy for our games, including in-game dialogues, character descriptions, item descriptions, quest narratives, and more.
  • Write persuasive and creative copy for marketing materials, including game trailers, press releases, website content and social media posts.
  • Collaborate with game designers, artists, and developers to ensure the alignment of copy with the overall game vision and experience.
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date with industry trends, gaming communities, and Web3 technologies to create relevant and compelling copy.
  • Edit and proofread copy for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and style, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective strategies and campaigns that resonate with our target audience.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of copy and marketing campaigns, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field is desirable.
  • 3+ years of experience as a copywriter in the gaming industry, preferably in game development studios or publishers.
  • 1+ year of experience specifically writing for the Web3 industry, including familiarity with blockchain technology and decentralised applications.
  • Strong passion for gaming, with an extensive knowledge of different genres, gaming platforms, and industry trends.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt writing style and tone to various platforms and audiences.
  • Proficiency in storytelling and narrative development, with the ability to create compelling and immersive narratives within the constraints of gaming.
  • Solid understanding of Web3 technologies, including blockchain, smart contracts, NFTs, and decentralised finance (DeFi).
  • Experience with SEO principles and best practices to optimise copy for search engines and improve discoverability.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • A portfolio or writing samples demonstrating your experience and expertise in gaming and Web3 copywriting.
