Job Description

Blair West is working in partnership with Eden Farm, a national wholesaler and distributor, part of AIM-Listed Kitwave Plc as they look to add a talented, qualified Financial Controller to their growing Frozen & Chilled wholesale division.

The opportunity:

  • Ensuring all accounting processes are completed in line with agreed reporting deadlines.
  • Leading the month end close process to deliver timely, consistent, and accurate data and financial reports for the business.
  • Performing timely and accurate reconciliations and analysis to provide assurance over the reported financial performance of the companies.
  • Preparation and reconciliation of the month end margin.
  • Review of Balance Sheet Reconciliations, completed by Finance Manager, owning, monitoring and addressing reconciling items, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Leading and driving all IT/ Finance improvement projects.
  • Play a key role in the year end audit including the production of lead schedules and sample data.
  • Support in annual budget setting process.
  • Managing and improving accounting controls and processes.
  • Line management of on-site transactional finance, principally Credit Control, and finance manager.

You'll be the ideal candidate for this position if you're:

  • A qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • A driven, commercial and forward thinking Finance professional.
  • Good with commercial and business acumen, together with an ability to communicate and explain financial results.
  • Methodical with a strong attention to detail.
  • Experienced in a senior role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to demonstrate a background in driving, supporting and leading through change.
  • Organised and have good administrative skills.
  • Able to manage multiple mixed priorities at any given time.
  • Great at communicating and have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders including senior management.
  • Experienced with IT programmes (Excel, Word) and Finance Systems.
