The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding our commercial solar PV sales across various market sectors, including energy, seaports, quarrying, nuclear, data centers, and general industrial industries. You will be based in the North of England, covering the North of England and potentially Scotland. You will be responsible for driving sales and securing new business opportunities throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within targeted market sectors, including energy, seaports, quarrying, nuclear, data centers, and general industrial industries.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and end-users.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth in the commercial solar PV sector.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with the technical and project management teams to ensure seamless delivery of projects.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the company’s growth objectives.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our services and solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven track record in business development and sales within the renewable energy sector, particularly solar PV.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial solar PV market and relevant industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel across the North of England and potentially Scotland.
