Roles and Responsibilities

  • Routine daily and monthly tasks include:

  • Provide support to employees for payslip queries with regard to calculation of statutory and voluntary deductions including tax, national insurance, student loans, court orders, pension, cycle to work, car scheme, medical benefit, etc.

  • Provide support to employees for breakdown of sickness and absence calculations

  • Provide support to business for guidance on payroll related actions for new joiners, TUPE transfers, local transfers, leavers

  • Provide support to business for assistance with pay related employee queries

  • Provide support to TCS Ireland for liaison with 3rd party payroll provider

  • Provide support to Finance for payments to pension providers, Irish local employees, 3rd party providers

  • Receive statutory deductions instructions and provide the data to offshore payroll team for input to employee payroll records

  • Upload monthly pension changes to pension schemes, liaison with providers for opt outs, opt ins, scheme leavers, etc

  • Receive new joiner P45 and P46 documents and provide the data to offshore payroll team for input to employee payroll records

  • Receive P45 documents from offshore payroll team and distribute to former employees

  • Attend monthly team calls with colleagues in TD, offshore payroll and finance to discuss inputs and actions for employee pay in next pay run

Annual tasks include:

  • Provide support to offshore payroll team and finance for tax year end related activities, to include distribution of P60 documents to employees

  • Liaison with offshore payroll team for checks to payroll calculations for annual statutory limits and deductions for tax and national insurance

  • Liaison with offshore payroll team and benefits team for changes to pension schemes and medical schemes

  • Collate P11D data from stakeholders in finance, benefits team, car scheme providers

  • Provide P11D data to offshore payroll team, liaise with offshore payroll team and MyDocuments team for production of P11D documents and upload to employee records

  • Pension re-enrolment anniversary tasks on a rolling 3 year basis
