We are looking for technical experts with specialist skills to work onsite at BMW Plant Swindon , with experience in a mechanical environment who can show general mechanical/electrical engineering skills.
Staffline is recruiting a Maintenance Associate in Swindon.
The rate of pay is £44,876 per annum (£23.97 per hour) based on 36 hours per week.
This role offers between 17.5% - 30% shift premiums.
This is a full-time role working rotating shifts, 4 on 4 off, or 5 out of 7. The hours of work are:
- 6am to 4pm
- 4pm to 2am
- 7am to 7pm
- 7pm to 7am
Your Time at Work
Tasks and responsibilities include:
- Respond to all facility failures and return plant and equipment to a running condition in the shortest time using appropriate skill/knowledge.
- Where necessary take responsibility for start-up and shut down of plant/equipment ensuring process parameters are met.
- Monitors all facility systems and input data onto PC's.
- Attend meetings when requested to input specialist knowledge.
- Take responsibility for spares in the local area, including order and re-ordering.
- Liaise with other departments when required
- Carry out planned maintenance and TPM. - Update systems on completion.
- Carry out checks and monitoring of plant/equipment.
- Ensure adherence to safe working practices.
- Use the problem resolution process. - Provide design solutions to simple PLC mods, tooling, or mechanical problems.
- Analysis of all appropriate data to identify trends and remedial actions.
- Provide advanced technical solutions and enroll support as appropriate.
- Commodity expert in one area of the facility.
- Ensure optimisation of plant/equipment, cycle time, the process specifies, and technical availability.
Our Perfect Worker
Applicants will need to have recognised engineering apprenticeships, NVQ level 3, BTEC, or equivalent. Ideally have experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
Experience in a similar role is required.
