Key Responsibilities Construction Buyer:
_  Procurement Management: _
o Source and procure construction materials
o Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
o Monitor and control project procurement budgets.
o Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
o Prepare and analyse cost reports to support project managers and senior management.
_  Logistics Coordination: _
o Coordinate the delivery of materials and services to construction sites.
o Resolve any logistical issues that may arise to avoid project delays.
_  Quality Assurance: _
o Ensure all purchased materials and services meet the required specifications and quality standards.
o Conduct supplier assessments and performance reviews.
_  o Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
o Prepare regular procurement reports for management review.
Key Requirements Construction Buyer:
_  o Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Buyer in the construction industry.
o Proven track record in procurement and supply chain management within a main contractor environment.
_  o Qualifications in procurement are not compulsory.
o Knowledge of construction materials, plant, and subcontractor markets.
_  o Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
