We are currently partnering with an expanding accountancy organisation in Farnham, recruiting for an Audit and Accounts Trainee to join the Compliance team. This is a full time, permanent position, with flexible and hybrid working options available. This is a trainee position which includes full training and support. Whilst you will have a mixture of both audit and accounts work, the position will be primarily accounts focused. Key Responsibilities: Build productive working relationships within the organisation and with clients Develop and apply technical knowledge through on-the-job training and formal qualifications Use accounting software for accurate reporting to managers, partners, and clients Produce profit and loss accounts and balance sheets Prepare basic tax computations and returns, such as corporation tax Prepare working papers, including bank and other reconciliations, and manual control accounts Help prepare and finalise statutory accounts under your manager's supervision Assist senior staff on audits, including checking bank reconciliations, attending stock takes, preparing profit and loss schedules, and auditing debtors and creditorsExperience/Skills Needed: You must have either 3 A Levels (Grades A, B, B or above/equivalent), or you are a university graduate (or are graduating this year) and are on track for a 2:1 or above GCSEs in Maths and English at grade 5 or above Proven communication skills, both written and verbal Strong IT skills, specifically Excel and able to pick up new IT packages very quickly Exceptional attention to detail A positive, confident, and proactive attitude Enjoy working as part of a team and self-motivated Willingness to undertake and succeed in a range of professional studies Relevant work experience and/or experience would be great but not essentialCompany Benefits: Full funding and support to study AAT/ACCA qualification, including study leave and time off for exams Hybrid and flexible working Career progression plans In-depth training and induction process Competitive salary and benefits package including pension, life assurance, health cash plan, retail discount scheme, electric vehicles salary sacrifice, cycle to work Generous holiday allowance Wellbeing programme with regular events and activities focused on your physical and mental wellbeing – employees are also offered one Wellbeing Day off a year Plenty of opportunities to increase your technical knowledge and skillsIf you have the relevant skills and experience, you don’t want to miss out on this opportunity, so click ‘Apply’ now If you know someone suitable for this role, share the word and through our referral scheme receive up to £250 for further details on our recommendation scheme.
