Key Responsibilities:

Data Modeling & Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain logical and physical data models for trade and operational data.
  • Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories to ensure data clarity and compliance with governance standards.
  • Translate business and trade data requirements into data models and schema designs, ensuring consistency and alignment with industry best practices.
  • Develop and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, triggers, and packages to support data manipulation and reporting needs.
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) trade data for various reporting and analysis purposes.

Trade Data Analysis & Quality Assurance

  • Analyze trade data to identify patterns, trends, and discrepancies; work with stakeholders to understand and document business requirements.
  • Define and implement validation and mapping rules for trade data using JSON schema, ensuring data integrity and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct data quality checks and validation procedures to maintain high data accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Performance Tuning & Optimization

  • Perform Oracle database performance tuning and query optimization to enhance the efficiency of trade data processing.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks and performance issues, ensuring smooth database operations for both development and production environments.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve database performance.

Python Scripting & Automation

  • Develop Python scripts to automate data validation, transformation, and integration processes, improving efficiency in trade data analysis and reporting.
  • Leverage Python for advanced data analysis and scripting solutions to streamline business operations.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Documentation

  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, developers, and data engineers to ensure alignment on technical solutions and data-related projects.
  • Document data models, validation rules, database designs, and processes, making information accessible for future reference and ongoing maintenance.
  • Ensure ongoing communication with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvements in data management and trading processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
  • Data Modeling & Development : Strong experience with Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, and data modeling tools (e.g., ERwin, Oracle Data Modeler). Proficiency in designing and maintaining data models.
  • Trade Data Analysis : Proven ability to analyze trade data and implement validation/mapping rules using JSON schema.
  • Scripting & Automation : Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data analysis.
  • Database Performance : Experience in database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting in Oracle environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based databases, data warehousing concepts, and ETL tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for business stakeholders.
  • Agile Methodology : Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus.
