Trading Assistant

£26,000 + Bonus & Benefits

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Trading Assistant to join a leading and continuously expanding retailer based within their London Office.

You will be responsible for supporting the Trading department focussing on food products within a busy and fast paced department. Providing accurate and timely administration support to the team. Ensuring specific Trading activities & projects are delivered on time. As a Trading Assistant, you will enjoy working in a large and busy office environment. The main duties & responsibilities as a Trading Assistant will include.

  • Providing support to the Trading team
  • Creating new product listings on the system
  • Collating promotional information from suppliers to build the promotional pack for each period liaising with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure all POS is signed off correctly
  • Liaising with the Trading support team to ensure queries are answered in a timely manner
  • Creating reports/ collating information for the traders
  • Assisting the trading team with the creation of presentations & reports
  • Minute taking for category review meetings
  • Work cross functionally with Buying & logistics to ensure departmental relationships are maintained
  • Working seamlessly across the business, driving continuous process improvement and efficiency

Key requirements for the role.

  • Previous experience as a Trading Assistant / Administrator within FMCG is desirable
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively within the fast-paced FMCG market.
  • Strong IT skills including Excel is a must and knowledge of Power BI useful
  • Highly numerate with the ability to analyse information from various sources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels
  • Strong multi-tasker who can self-manage and use initiative
