iO Associates are proud to partner with a dynamic and forward-thinking Food Manufacturer in the search for a Process Development Manager on an 18-month FTC to join the team in Aintree.

As the Process Development Manager, you will report to the Lead Process Development Manager and lead critical process development projects, ensuring the successful implementation of new products, technologies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Main responsibilities:

Process Development Leadership:

  • Lead specific process development projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Support the implementation of new products, manufacturing changes, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Champion continuous business improvement initiatives.
  • Lead improvement initiatives and standardisation efforts across the company.

Technical Support:

  • Ensure quick deployment of resources and expertise to maintain optimal manufacturing line performance.
  • Uphold operational standards and quality requirements.

Deliverables:

  • Drive the introduction of New Product Development and Value Improvement projects, as well as efficiently plan, manage, and report on factory trials related to NPD, Value Improvement and Procurement.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process enhancements.
  • Implement process innovations to keep us at the forefront of industry developments.

Efficiency and Quality:

  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to enhance performance and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with Change Protocol procedures.

You will need:

  • Degree in Food Science / Manufacturing / Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in process development, preferably within the food industry.
  • Track record working with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Methodologies
  • Strong project management skills

This position will be based at their site in Liverpool, with the occasional support needed at their Manchester site.

In return for this, you will receive a salary of £44,000, alongside some great benefits such as a 10% performance-based bonus, single cover medical, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, stakeholder pension and 1 volunteering day per year.
