Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide support and assistance to an elderly woman who has recently suffered a stroke. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining her well-being, ensuring her safety, and assisting with daily activities.

Responsibilities:

Personal Care:
Assist with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Help with mobility and transfers.
Provide assistance with toileting needs.

Medication Management:
Administer prescribed medications as per the doctor's instructions.
Maintain a record of medication schedules and any observed side effects.

Companionship:
Engage in meaningful conversations and provide emotional support.
Accompany the individual on walks and outings for mental stimulation.

Meal Preparation:
Plan and prepare nutritious meals, considering any dietary restrictions.
Assist with feeding if necessary.

Household Tasks:
Light housekeeping duties, including maintaining cleanliness and organization.
Laundry and changing bed linens.

Health Monitoring:
Regularly check vital signs and report any concerns to healthcare professionals.
Keep detailed records of health observations.

Physical Therapy Support:
~ Assist with prescribed exercises or activities recommended by healthcare providers.


Transportation:
~ Accompany to medical appointments or other outings, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey.


Communication:
Maintain open communication with family members and healthcare professionals.
Report any changes in health or behavior promptly.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Personal Care Assistant or similar role.
Certification in First Aid and CPR.
Knowledge of basic medical and caregiving procedures.
Compassionate and patient with excellent interpersonal skills.
Physical stamina for assisting with mobility and transfers.
Ability to adapt to changing needs and respond calmly in emergencies.
Understanding of and respect for the elderly.
