Minimum requirements:

Must have a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.
Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience with Process Simulation and Modeling technologies.
Must demonstrate expertise in process engineering end flowsheet-based processes simulation.
Must possess a comprehensive understanding of refinery facilities, feedstock/product movements, margins, giveaways, process yields, and mass and energy balances.
Must be familiar with international standards and specifications for advanced process control process modeling is also essential.
Must possess an exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of advanced process solutions.
Must possess strong leadership skills to effectively manage technical discussions and guide technical teams.

Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Process Simulation and Modeling professional to join our team at the Global Manufacturing Excellence (GME). At GME, we offer top-notch technical support to refineries, NGLF, and petrochemical plants owned by a local company and its affiliates worldwide, including facilities in Saudi Arabia. Your primary role will be to provide expert guidance and support to de-bottleneck process operations and optimize through process simulation technologies. You will lead improvement initiatives for all operating departments within our Global Manufacturing Portfolio.

Duties and responsibilities:
  1. Streamline Process Simulation & Optimization objectives with corporate objectives and develop program best practices, and monitor KPIs to improve Process Simulation and modeling performance.
  2. Lead and develop Process Simulation models for refineries and NGL fractionations using dynamic or steady state simulation software applications.
  3. Perform process simulations and modeling using specialized software tools to analyze refinery processes and optimize their performance.
  4. Develop and maintain thermodynamic models and mathematical equations that accurately represent the behavior of various refinery processes.
  5. Verify the accuracy of the simulation models by comparing the results with actual plant data and conducting sensitivity analyses.
  6. Identify areas for process improvements and propose modifications or optimizations to increase efficiency, reduce costs, or meet regulatory requirements.
  7. Conduct performance improvement feasibility studies to increase yields, and operational efficiency of the company.
  8. Analyze chronicle problems and debottleneck complex models to improve process operations and economic benefits.
  9. Conduct safety assessments to evaluate the impact of potential process changes or plant modifications.
  10. Lead technical sessions such as the design review, model review, and commissioning.
  11. Provide subject matter expertise to operating facilities Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams by consulting, providing awareness sessions, and participating and leading technical exchanges and conferences.
  12. Conduct benchmarks, business case studies, and pilot and evaluate process simulation technologies.
  13. Review standards and General Instructions on behalf of the GME departments and act as leading SME.
  14. Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate simulation results, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  15. Collaborate with other engineers and researchers and vendors to contribute to the development of new simulation software tools, methodologies, and techniques.
