Are you an experienced Accountant looking to join a dynamic and rapidly transforming finance team? Sheridan Maine is thrilled to represent a leading Business Services organisation based in the heart of Central London, seeking a talented individual to take ownership of the revenue accounting for one of their innovative platforms.

As the Revenue Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our client's continued journey of growth and transformation. This role is integral to supporting the FP&A team by delivering comprehensive Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet analytics. You will work closely with the wider accounting and operations teams to ensure accurate and insightful financial reporting.

Your responsibilities as the Revenue Accountant will include:

  • Play a key role in the monthly revenue accounting close, working closely with the operational finance and commercial teams to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Collaborate with the general accounting management team to ensure the integrity of reported gross margin, investigating and addressing any variances or inconsistencies within the P&L and Balance Sheet for the business.
  • Oversee the team's tasks to ensure accuracy and completeness, ensuring that all deadlines for team tasks and project work are met.
  • Assist with analytical reviews and reporting packs for various stakeholders and participate in cross-functional presentations of business performance.
  • Assist in the support and review of significant system automation projects, focusing on maintaining key controls.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and tax advisors.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations related to revenue and receivables.
  • Continuously assess and improve finance processes and activities from a control perspective, recommending enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the BI team to enhance the reporting of business performance, both in real time and for closed accounting periods.

To be considered for the role of Revenue Accountant, you will require:

  • Accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Experienced user of BI systems, preferably Tableau, or similar systems like Power BI.
  • Proven experience in accounting activities in international markets
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills
