Job Description

We are looking for a Junior to Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to manage our server estate, both real and virtual, and help build and automate pipelines. You will work with Kubernetes to expand our SaaS offering, automate and build demo environments, and help create products around our core server, which is written in Java (Java Spring) and uses Nginx and PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MSSQL databases, primarily on Linux platforms. The role also involves significant use of Windows, specifically Windows Servers, Domains, CAs, Intune, and policies. Additionally, there is a small amount of networking, involving Netscalers, various firewalls, Squid servers, and VPNs.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining our server estate, both real and virtual, using Azure, AWS, and VMWare.
  • Building and automating CI/CD pipelines.
  • Working with Kubernetes to expand our SaaS offerings.
  • Automating and building demo environments.
  • Assisting in creating products around our core server, which is based on Java Spring and uses Nginx and various databases.
  • Ensuring that infrastructure is secure, scalable, and highly available.
  • Monitoring system performance and ensuring the reliability and robustness of our services.
  • Working with Windows Servers, Domains, CAs, Intune, and policies to manage our Windows infrastructure.
  • Handling networking tasks involving Netscalers, various firewalls, Squid servers, and VPNs.
  • Collaborating with development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of new features.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, and VMWare.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Understanding of Java Spring applications and web servers such as Nginx.
  • Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MSSQL.
  • Knowledge of Windows Servers, Domains, Certificate Authorities (CAs), Intune, and policy management.
  • Basic networking skills, including experience with Netscalers, firewalls, Squid servers, and VPNs.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git).
