To work closely with colleagues in both parts and sales to rapidly accelerate the current performance of the group ultimately resulting in the brand being considered a top 5 performer in the area of customer satisfaction and profitability. Key Responsibilities & Accountability To Ensure the Efficient and Profitable Organisation of each Service Department Develop department business plans and draw up budgets for expense and sales targets, agree these with the Service Director to ensure the department is profitable. Ensure that all business transactions are made within Vospers Company guidelines. Analyse and ensure that all daily, weekly and monthly reports are drawn from DMS systems when required to enable the monitoring of the accounting practices. Ensure that FMC/IFT warranty requirements are adhered too. Develop communications with other members of the management team/departments to encourage the ongoing exchange of ideas to foster strong inter-Company relations. Provide regular information to senior management and board regarding the departments progress and achievement of targets. Ensure that all administration required to assist the running of the truck service department is attended to by an authorised member of staff in the adequate time period. People Management Use the relevant KPIs to identify training needs for staff and ensure individual training plans are introduced and logged with the relevant manufacturer for future fulfillment. Encourage all dealerships to promote staff retention and motivation programmes in order to encourage both best practices and good performance in the established management areas. Provide coaching when required if individual goals are not met, helping to continually guide and control the effectiveness of the departments. Be available to meet with staff on a regular basis to ensure continuous improvement. Communicate important results, ensuring that staff are kept up to date on department progress and success. Customer Service Management To consistently review dealer performance relating to Aftersales processes and procedures to ensure the customer experience is exemplary. To improve the quality of customer service and retention through enhancing facilities, improving personnel skills and high standards of quality workmanship. To ensure all customer complaints are dealt with promptly, courteously and sympathetically and to maintain an accurate written record of all complaints and actions taken to restore customer satisfaction and ensure the same type of complaint does not reoccur.
