Yorkshire Academy of Creative Arts & Dance (YACAD) was formed in August 2014. Yorkshire Academy of Creative Arts and Dance is dedicated to bringing quality creative arts and dance training to Yorkshire where participants can expand their knowledge of creative arts and dance. We provide a safe, active, creative space where participants can freely express themselves. The Academy promotes positive factors of a healthy lifestyle looking specifically at both mental and physical activity by emphasising education through the form of creative arts and dance.
We are looking for someone who can work within our creative arts and dance team as we continue to develop our delivery within the community/education sector over the next 12 months. The successful candidate will be able to drive our current programmes, deliver creative arts and develop our community offer. We would be particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have recently graduated and have a passion for developing any area of the arts within the community and delivering this within education.

Opportunity to develop in the creative industries
The Programme Co-ordinator will deliver arts programmes and develop a team of artists improving quality, structure and administration.
1 Deliver a variety of creative art sessions providing support to ensure there is access for a range of age groups.
2 Supervise and provide a safe environment for children to ensure their activities are accessed appropriately.
3 Establish positive relationships with children and interact with them accordingly.
4 Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all children.
5 Provide marketing strategies and monitor financial breakdown of programmes.
6 Delegate responsibilities and roles for other artists to engage children and the wider community.
7 Provide support and lead on training and mentorship for other staff members.
8 Use positive behaviour strategies to support children and maintain safe, positive and stimulating space.
3 Advertisement and distribution of social media posts, flyers, events etc.
A recent DBS or willing to undertake one.
· GCSE pass or above in Maths and English.
· To have achieved level 3 or A-Level qualifications. Preferably in an expressive/creative art subject and or childcare.
· Have experience of youth, community work or work directly linking to children and young people.
· Good time keeping, able to be flexible with work time requirements.
· Confident with interpersonal skills and comfortable working with a variety of children or young people.
· Hold a full UK driving licence ( desirable)
· Bachelor degree in the arts ( desirable )
