Our client is looking for an Engineering Lead to spearhead the next phase of development for there innovative online education platform. As the Engineering Lead, you will guide the technical design and execution of the next-generation front-end applications, platform, and associated tools. This role includes overseeing the selection, integration, and management of various third-party systems that support their platform.

In a dynamic and evolving software team, your responsibilities will vary, but key duties include:
Oversee cloud-based development, testing, and production environments.
Lead the design, development, and testing of front-end applications, back-end platform components, and APIs.
Conduct code reviews and approve critical technical deliverables to ensure design consistency and quality.
Manage technical issues and risks, driving them to successful resolution.
Provide leadership in Agile ceremonies and processes within the engineering and product teams.
Ensure effective management and development of the engineering team, fostering a collaborative environment.
Continuously improve software development processes within the engineering team.
Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear objectives for team members.
Take charge of hiring and nurturing the technical talent necessary to meet strategic goals within budget constraints.

You will need 10 years of experience in technical design and development of content-centric web applications across various technologies, such as Node.js, Java/J2EE, Python, and Ruby.

Extensive experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) for rapid product development and release.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex technical challenges and devise creative solutions.
AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and micro-service architectures is a plus.
A deep understanding of the challenges and objectives of small companies, with the ability to align technical and commercial strategies within budget constraints.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills to manage the dynamic nature of the role.
Experience in negotiating commercial contracts with third-party technology providers.
A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
