Senior Data Governance Manager, AXA DCP
AXA's Management Committee is driving a unique strategic initiative - Digital Commercial Platform (DCP) - designed to transform AXA's value proposition. Through DCP, AXA will serve existing and new clients and partners through an evolving business model, where the focus is on risk prediction, prevention and management.
AXA DCP relies on creating a platform of AXA's risk insights, risk management, and risk prevention capabilities to enhance and support our service offering to commercial clients and third parties. End users will be able to access a broad selection of data built on existing or developing AXA assets. The platform will also create value by monetizing unique capabilities and services for our customers, aggregating, and delivering insights from unique data sets with external partners, and fostering end-customer relationships in alignment with brokers.

Improve our underwriting pricing and claims capabilities across the commercial lines book of business of AXA Group
Create a platform for risk management and prevention services
AXA DCP (Digital Commercial Platform) is seeking an experienced Senior Data Governance Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization, integrity, and security of our data assets. Your primary objectives will include designing and implementing efficient data management processes, ensuring data quality and accuracy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making and compliance with internal and external requirements.
Data Governance:
Develop, implement, enforce, and continuously improve the Data Governance strategy, framework, policies, procedures, and standards.
Represent the Data Management function in boards and committees.
Define, monitor and enforce KPIs and KRIs related to Data management.
Establish, monitor and improve the effectiveness of data management processes and governance.
Define and monitor data life cycle and manage related metadata.
Responsible for creating and maintaining Data Catalog, lineage (business and technical) and metadata for all data in scope for DCP.
Enforce "Data by Design" principles including "Privacy by Design" and "Security by Design" principles.
Stay on top of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management and suggest innovations to improve processes, strategy, frameworks, and governance.
Work closely with Stakeholders to understand data requirements and promote awareness of Data management requirements.
Translate business needs into actionable data management solutions.
Partner with DPO, CSO and Architecture on protecting and securing data for DCP.
Data Compliance & Integrity:
Ensure the compliance, accuracy, completeness, and integrity of organization's data through regular reviews.
Monitor, report and facilitate escalations and discussions on data-related matters that impact compliance with internal or external requirements related to data management.
Support Data Assessments such as Data Maturity Assessment, Information Risk Management, Data Privacy and Security assessments from AXA Group.
Data Control & Quality:
Based on the data life cycle, identify control points to ensure data integrity and availability.
Proactively monitor and maintain the data quality throughout data lifecycle, including fulfilling a stewardship role and ensuring the data in the system is fit for purpose and of expected quality
Build processes for performing root cause analysis for data quality issues and work with stakeholders to address those issues.
Master Data and Reference Data:
Ensure that Master and Reference data are managed in a central repository to ensure information is consistently used across systems.
Identify opportunities for data to be managed in MDM system.
Data Awareness & Education:
Lead and support the delivery of data awareness training & education to promote a data-driven & enriched data culture.
Data Retention:
Define and enforce data retention, minimization, and simplification requirements.
Conduct regular reviews of data storage to identify and archive obsolete information
Establish clear guidelines for data minimization.
You will report to the Head of Operational Optimization, Applied Analytics and Data Management, AXA DCP
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Extensive experience in data management, with a focus on implementing data governance frameworks and strategies.
Understanding of data privacy, security and AI governance considerations.
Effective leadership skills to drive the adoption of data governance practices across the organization.
Experience with data compliance regulations such as GDPR, CFIUS, AI Governance etc
Knowledge of data quality, metadata management, and data lifecycle processes.
Project management skills to oversee the implementation of data governance initiatives.
Proficiency in System for Data Governance / Data Catalog (Collibra) is a plus
Proficiency in Data Quality Tool (Informatica CDQ) is a plus
Proficiency in MDM/Reference Data Tool (Tibco-EBX) is a plus
Proficiency in database management systems, data modeling, and SQL is a plus
