Contechs is recruiting on behalf of its client whose mission is to drive technological advancements within the mobility sector. They are seeking an experienced EDS CAD Engineers who has a strong experience on harness design on a Contract basis. The role will be based in Leamington Spa

Job Description

As EDS CAD Engineers, your main responsibilities are:

  • Creation of 3D wiring Harness design (CATIA) according to the customer specifications and administration of the 3D CAD Data in the Product data management system.
  • Routing and Package Investigations to verify compliance with customer requirements (SDS).
  • Implementation of CAD installation investigations in consultation with the responsible project engineers in virtual vehicle installation spaces and preparation of the associated documentation.
  • Development of design solutions and creation of design proposals according to the framework defined by the customer.
  • Creation of change templates/Mark-ups for the 2D wiring harness drawings.
  • Attend meetings and design reviews with the customer and other suppliers.
  • Ensuring the buildability and installability of the wiring harnesses (DFM / DFA)
  • Creation of installation sketches of the series product.
  • Support of prototype builds of the wiring harnesses at the supplier and customers locally and at foreign countries.
  • Development support at the customer's site locally and at foreign countries.

Skills Required

  • 3-5 Years of specialist experience in the wiring system sector
  • Advanced knowledge in 3D design and C3PNG
  • Good English language skills in spoken and written
  • Knowledge of internal customer processes
