An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the HR team of a prestigious global law firm based in London. This is a fantastic role for someone highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. The position offers the chance to work closely with a dynamic HR team while supporting payroll and benefits administration across the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Monthly Payroll Coordination
- Collect and review payroll data on a monthly basis to ensure accurate processing.
- Act as the main point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries, managing both Payroll and HR inboxes.
- Collaborate with external payroll consultants and internal HRIS teams to implement payroll updates and resolve any issues.
- Work with the Finance department to address payroll-related queries, reporting, reconciliation, and audits.
- Generate and analyse payroll and HR-related reports.
HR Activities
- Support the HR team throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and managing employment term changes.
- Offer administrative support to senior HR team members for daily operations and ad-hoc projects.
- Maintain and update employee data in the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Assist with periodic HR activities such as vacation audits, salary/benefit surveys, and calculations.
- Provide cover for other HR team members when needed.
Benefits Administration
- Serve as the key point of contact for all employee benefits, including medical, dental, GP, and Cycle to Work Scheme.
- Manage pension administration, including opt-in/opt-out processes and monthly pension uploads.
- Conduct benefit inductions for new employees, ensuring they are well-informed of available options.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an HR role within a professional services environment, preferably in a law firm.
- Previous experience managing payroll administration with an outsourced provider.
- Expertise in benefits administration and pension management processes.
- Familiarity with statutory payments and related regulations.
- Strong IT skills, with prior experience using Workday preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills (including v-lookups and pivot tables).
- Excellent reporting and data analysis capabilities.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
