Company Profile Our client is a very well established, reputable company providing specialist payroll and accounting services in the UK. Based in the heart of Canterbury City Centre they are looking to recruit payroll and finance assistants to join their growing team. The working hours are 9:00 to 17:30 with an hour for lunch and they offer a very friendly and vibrant working environment. Holiday entitlement is 21 days plus bank holidays. It is noted that our client would be looking to recruit on a part-time basis initially and increase these hours to full-time after a period of training, approximately 1-3 months. Although they do not offer parking onsite, parking permits can be obtained for £30.00 a month in very local car parks, and they are only minutes away from the train station. Skills required

  • Some experience in Payroll (preferably proficient in Sage Payroll)
  • Preferably hold a Payroll, Finance, Bookkeeping Qualification
  • Previous experience in Sales Ledger (raising invoices, posting payments, reconciliation of customers’ accounts)
  • Previous experience in Purchase Ledger (posting invoices and payments on supplier accounts and reconciliation of suppliers’ accounts)
  • Great Microsoft Excel skills
  • Great customers service/support skills
  • Understanding and working knowledge of bank reconciliations
