This position is responsible for assisting students, faculty and other constituents to navigate the academic procedures and policies set forth by the office and the University. This position will assist office staff with day-to-day office functions related to student records and registration.
Previous experience working in a professional office environment.
Knowledge of basic computer skills (e.g. MS Office), and a willingness to learn other programs/systems
• Professional phone etiquette and customer service
• Strict adherence to confidentiality and FERPA in accordance with University policies and legal requirements
Answer phones and assist visitors to the office; Accurately and professionally address students, faculty, parents and other inquiries related to academic policies and procedures as appropriate.
Scan and index documents, including but not limited to changes of grades and academic transcripts.
Assist office members with special projects, general office workflow and data maintenance.
Query and update student education records in Banner, including demographic information, registration and academic history.
Maintain knowledge of native Banner, Self-Service Banner, Falcon Link, and Degree Works to help answer questions from students, faculty and parents.
Assist with office correspondence and mail.
Provide back-up support to other areas of the office as needed.
