We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our Payroll Team within the HR Shared Services Centre. Reporting to the Payroll & Benefits Manager, the Payroll Officer will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day payroll operations, executing monthly end-to-end payroll processes, and providing supervision and guidance to Payroll Administrators. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our payroll functions, contributing to the overall success of the HR team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a keen attention to detail to join our growing Payroll Team at a pivotal time of growth and new business integration.

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing within a similar sized organisation, with a comprehensive understanding of UK payroll legislation, regulations, and best practices.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude to ensure accuracy in processing payroll data and resolving discrepancies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in order to think creatively and find solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments, as well as to address payroll-related queries and issues from employees.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changes in the payroll landscape while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies.
