A fantastic opportunity has arisen to have the chance of working with a well-established engineering consultancy that specialises in the development of major projects across the UK and world, driven by a workforce of ambitious nuclear experts. In your role as Project Engineer you will be responsible for leading and managing nuclear projects from the conception stage to completion.


Do you have a background in a highly regulated industry such as Nuclear, Oil & Gas or Rail?
Have you got experience of identifying, implementing, and complying with applicable safety, environmental and quality standards?

You willsupport the Project Managers and Construction Manager in managing allocated work from assignment to close out covering all duties related to work delivery to ensure that the work is conducted in a safe, timely and effective manner to its conclusion.
The role will be based atHartlepooland will require occasional business travel to UK sites/stations Flexible working arrangements between office and home may be possible, however the role will predominantly be based at the Power Station.
Strong communication and organisational skills are a must with the ability to develop relationships and maintain effective networks and be results-focused tempered with a team-centred approach.


A Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification is required and candidates that hold the APMP formal project management qualification or equivalent and are versed in modern project management techniques are preferred.
We need you to have experience of identifying, implementing, and complying with applicable safety, environmental and quality standards, company procedures and policies and other relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
You will prepare and maintain engineering documentation including quality plans along with the production of technical specifications and support the process of contractor selection and contract placement, followed by the technical review of contractor's documents and drawings.
You will also manage technical queries in accordance with process and procedures, including appraisals of project options, feasibility studies, site surveys and liaison with designers and station engineering staff.
