Role

The post of Events & Membership Services Executive will actively contribute to CECA Scotland’s success throughsupporting the day-to-day activities of fellow CECA Scotland colleagues.

This role will involve:

  • Promoting and organising training events for CECA Scotland members – both in person and online (via MSTeams)
  • Maintaining and developing CECA Scotland’s Events System
  • Organising CECA Scotlandcorporate events, such as our Annual Dinner & Awards, members Annual Golf Day, Scottish Civil EngineeringAwards etc
  • Keeping abreast of areas that may impact on or be of interest to CECA members and keepingmembers informed of relevant issues and developments in various formats using various social mediachannels

The work of the Events & Membership Services Executive will be part of the foundation upon which CECA Scotlandwill continue to directly engage with member companies and build influence amongst key stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Regional Family Support Team in the East of Scotland and work to ensurethe delivery of high-quality support to people who have a family member in prison.

We are looking for a Regional Family Support Coordinator to join our team in the East of Scotland. In this positionyou will play a crucial role in supporting families affected by imprisonment who live in Edinburgh, Lothians andScottish Borders and pro-actively engaging with external partners through different means to deliver FamiliesOutside’s key messages to ensure everyone is recognising the needs of families affected by imprisonment.

The Regional Family Support Coordinator will be responsible for supporting families, including children and youngpeople at home and in their community via 1:1 work, to address the social and family adversities that people whohave a family member in prison face, so they feel engaged, supported, and empowered. Whilst supporting childrento ensure they are safe, healthy, included, and achieving at home, school, and in the community.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with prison staff, attending meetings and family events at HMP Edinburgh.
  • Providing support tofamilies affected by imprisonment who live in Edinburgh, Lothians, and Scottish Borders.
  • Engaging withCommunity Planning Partnerships (CPPs) in relevant surrounding areas including Edinburgh, Lothians, and ScottishBorders.
  • Creating links with other organisations working in those areas outlinedabove.
  • Collaborative working with Barnardo’s, at HMP Edinburgh Prison Visitors’ Centre.

With experience of supporting and working alongside families, including children and young people the Regional FamilySupport Coordinator will be able to demonstrate that they are passionate about developing and delivering aquality service that is focused on the rights of families affected by imprisonment in their work and all theydo.

We are recruiting a part-time Childminding Development Officer, to deliver an effective service to support allchildminders in South Lanarkshire Council.

You will have an understanding of childcare and childminding, the ability to identify and support training needs, aswell as represent childminding locally.

The successful applicant will work alongside local authority partners such as Education and Early Years services, aswell as third sector and family support organisations.

Excellent organisational and inter-personal skills are required and working as part of a team is essential. Youshould be able to demonstrate enthusiasm, self-motivation, and highly developed written and oral communicationskills.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Regional Family Support Team to ensure the delivery of high-qualitysupport to people who are living across the East of Scotland who have a family member in prison.

Our Regional Manager will:

  • Lead a team of staff and social work students to provide 1:1, family work in family homes, community venues,prison, and/or prison visitor centres.
  • Liaise and contribute to key local and community forums such asCommunity Planning Partnerships, Third Sector Interface meetings, or Local Authority partners’meetings.
  • Create and develop a range of support services to meet the local need across the East ofScotland.

You will be adept at developing relationships, negotiating and working with partners to achievebetter outcomes for children and families. Working alongside an existing team of two Area Managers, allocationof geographical services will be agreed in collaboration with the team.

We require a skilled communicator with the ability to manage and motivate your team, demonstrating enthusiasm,self-motivation and focus. You will possess excellent organisational skills, be fluent in written reports andfunding applications, as well as budget setting and reporting.

The post is home/head office based, requiring regular attendance at Head Office in Stirling, and travel on occasionto local authority areas across Scotland as required. Equipment and broadband/IT connections will beprovided.
