This has opened up a new opportunity within the P&C Underwriting team for an ambitious professional who is excited by the prospect of joining a fast growing, innovative organization.
We offer a cross class package solution including Public & Products Liability, Employers Liability, Property, E&O, Cyber, D&O and Legal Expenses With over a decade of experience providing insurance to traditional and emerging industries, CFC’s P&C department are the go-to-market for property, environmental, and general liability risks
About the roleAs an Underwriter you’ll develop and underwrite profitable business, working closely with the Head of Property & Casualty and your underwriting colleagues in a variety of areas, including new business development, building broker relationships and responding to P&C queries from other product line underwriters.
- Respond to new business enquiries and renewal submissions from brokers in a timely and professional manner, delivering a first class service to produce quotations within agreed SLAs and authority parameters;
- Prepare and deliver internal and external presentations on CFC products, key trends and emerging exposures;
- Contribute effectively to team performance standards;
- Marketing P&C team capabilities through existing contacts and new relationships including attending ad-hoc business trips in the UK and Internationally as required.
- Assist with the production of reports and statistics to support the monitoring of team performance
We’re looking for driven, self-starters with a strong work ethic. You will have a strong knowledge of the Property and/ or Casualty market and have been working within the insurance industry for at least 4-5 years - underwriting or broking commercial risks in this product line.
You will be expected to work at a high pace and intensity that underpins the successful framework of the CFC business and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support our ambitious growth plans.
- Articulate and influential - you’re naturally comfortable presenting to small and large groups;
- Strong work ethic with an ability to operate effectively under pressure
- Progression in professional examinations demonstrated (e.g. CII/ACII)
- Above all you’re a team player with a passion for P&C business
