Seeking a Senior Project Manager to join a Construction Consultancy based in Salisbury.

Hays Property and Surveying are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join a leading construction consultancy based in Salisbury.
The company is a well-known consultancy that provides multidisciplinary services across the construction industry. Their Project and Cost Management department has secured long-term work with a long-standing client who operates within the Defence Sector across the UK. For this reason, the business is now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to be based at a key location near Salisbury.

The role is being offered with a flexible working arrangement, with time anticipated to be split between the client's offices, site and home.
Your new role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a variety of construction related projects on behalf of the client from initial feasibility through to completion. Projects will range in size and value, but will include the new build, fit-out and refurbishment of offices, laboratories, research facilities, industrial buildings and on-site accommodation.

Key responsibilities include -
  • Manage and deliver a variety of construction projects from feasibility to completion.
  • Undertake feasibility assessments, contract procurement, project planning.
  • Manage project budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial reporting.
  • Undertake contract administration, progress reports and work alongside the Principal Contractor.
  • Hold and lead on project progress meetings and updates with clients.
  • Ensure compliance is met in relation to health and safety and environmental legislation.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Professional Membership preferred i.e RICS/CIOB/APM
  • Experience of working within a construction consultancy or client side environment
  • Experience of working within the Defence Sector.
  • A proven track record of delivering a variety of construction related projects from inception to completion
  • Strong project management skills, including contract administration
  • Working knowledge of NEC3 contract forms.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and commercial acumen
  • Must be a UK Citizen to be eligible for security clearance criteria
