Downhole Application Specialist

An employer is seeking a Downhole Application Specialist to sit in Stirling, Scotland. This person will be expected to serve as the SME and provide in-depth knowledge of specific product lines. They will act as a liaison between different groups that includes Operations, Sales & Business Development, Engineering, and Product Line technical groups. The Product Line Specialist will provide technical support for both internal and external customers. They will be responsible for bridging the gap between product knowledge and sales/customer support. This person will analyze customer needs, identify new product opportunities, and support/troubleshoot existing customers. They will be required to go onsite 3 days a week/2 days remote with the flexibility to choose which days.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical is preferred)
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry
  • 3-5 years previous engineering or technical experience in downhole applications (i.e. Drill Stem Testing)
  • Working knowledge and strong understanding of downhole hydraulics and tools
  • Familiarity with Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and processes
