We are seeking a highly skilled Actuary to join our team within the M&G UK Finance Reporting department. As a key member of our Actuarial Valuation Policyholder team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial strength of the business by balancing commerciality and prudence in a well-governed and controlled environment.

The successful candidate will have practical experience of Solvency II and IFRS financial reporting for with-profits business. You will be responsible for contributing to the creation of an agile team that is responsive to changing market conditions and customer requirements, and delivering efficient and optimized processes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing and being accountable for the technical accuracy of financial information to support the production of actuarial analysis and reports.
  • Providing specialist technical advice and guidance on the application of actuarial principles and tools to support business objectives.
  • Designing technical solutions as part of change projects within M&G UK Finance Reporting.

We are looking for an individual with excellent technical actuarial knowledge, a motivated and willing attitude, and the ability to express their viewpoint and communicate clearly on complex actuarial issues. Knowledge of the business and/or with-profits Solvency II and/or IFRS financial reporting experience would be an advantage, but on-the-job training will be provided to the successful candidate.
