Responsibilities:
Health & Safety:
* Execute activities ensuring risk elimination through appropriate actions.
Planned Maintenance / Breakdowns:
* Adhere to planned schedules for maintenance activities in alignment with engineering practices.
* Maintain and repair processing machinery and ancillary equipment safely and productively to maximise availability at optimal cost.
* Provide feedback on issues/root causes to the Maintenance planning function.
* Maintain clear and concise records for trend analysis and corrective action identification.
* Manage engineering spares and inventory within budget constraints to minimise equipment downtime.
* Flexibly undertake maintenance tasks at short notice to facilitate optimal performance.
Training / Resource:
* Actively participate in personal development plans to enhance performance and contribute to business succession requirements.
* Support operational team members in developing autonomous maintenance practices.
* Deliver training to operators on basic maintenance activities for increased productivity.
Requirements:
* Competent engineer with experience in Service Centre or manufacturing activities.
* ONC or City & Guilds Mechanical or ONC or City & Guilds Electrical qualification.
* Demonstrated experience in relevant engineering discipline, continuous improvement processes, preventative maintenance techniques, and contractor management.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and computer literacy skills.
* Ability to work independently under pressure and tight deadlines.
* Knowledge and application of Continuous Improvement techniques.
