Staffinity is seeking a Mechanical Systems Design Engineer for a client in Windsor. This is a permanent position with hourly rate, bonus, benefits, and RRSP matching. The hourly rate is $32-38 DOE and overtime will be paid for anything over 44 hours per week. There will be regular local travel and the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain a US work visa. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial new build or refurb.
Responsibilities:- Building mechanical systems design.
- Prepare technical reports and engineering documents.
- Liaise with clients & contractors.
- Provide technical consultation.
- Analyze system problems in the field.
- Develop the mechanical scope of work for new projects and bid packages.
- Assist in shop drawing review process, request for information (RFI) and field observation reports to ensure they are processed in a timely manner to meet the project schedule milestones.
- Cost estimating.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
Designation: Valid P.Eng or CET designation in Ontario
Experience: 3+ years engineering design experience in various systems
Skills: Understanding of consulting engineering phases, codes, standards, and software
Market Experience: Designing for clients in educational, commercial, industrial, and healthcare markets
Software Proficiency: Experience in AutoCAD, Revit, and Autodesk Suite
Additional Skills: Experience in BIM360 considered a plus
- Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
- Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
