Great opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Senior Mechanical Design Engineer working with a major civil engineering contractor based near Redditch in the West Midlands
My client is involved on the Capital Delivery Framework Severn Trent Water undertaking renewal and refurbishment projects
Responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Engineer / Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Produce mechanical designs, including calculations, specifications and layouts, which are cost effective, meet the requirements of the client and which can be purchased, installed and commissioned effectively.
Carry out tender bid analysis for various items of plant.
Carry out subcontractor or third-party design reviews until these are accepted.
Carry out site surveys, including asset condition surveys as necessary.
Manage/monitor the work of others in the organisation or project team as necessary, including checking and/or reviewing their work.
Liaise with other disciplines with the organisation or the project team to ensure that all design elements are fully integrated.Ensure that designs take account of sustainability and environmental issues
Role Requirements for the Senior Mechanical Engineer / Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:

HNC or higher within Mechanical Engineering discipline
Design of wastewater M&E assets e.g. Champions Sustainability Safety, Health and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment and communities to thrive
