Exciting opportunity has arisen on Culm Ward within the management team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard working individual to join our team as a Band 6 Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.
The successful candidate will need to be motivated and passionate for patient centred, safe effective care.
Previous experience within Respiratory Medicine is desirable but not essential as full training can be provided.
Our team pride themselves on the high level of care that are patient receive. Culm Ward is a 54 bedded Respiratory Medical Ward which includes a 5 bedded Respiratory High Dependency Unit.
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy, when they need it most.
Our core services, which we provide to more than 615,000 people, cover more than 2,000 square miles across Devon, while some of our specialist services cover the whole of the peninsula, extending our reach as far as Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
We deliver a wide range of emergency, specialist and general medical services through North Devon District Hospital and the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford).
Alongside our two acute hospitals, we provide integrated health and social care services across a variety of settings, including community inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, and within peoples own homes. We also offer primary care services, a range of specialist community services, and Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARC).

Culm Ward is a 54 bedded Respiratory Medical Ward which includes a 5 bedded Respiratory High Dependency Unit. We are a fast paced Medical Ward specialising in a wide range of Respiratory conditions both acute and chronic.
You will need to be an expert role model in helping provide Clinical Leadership to the nursing and Multi Disciplinary Team.
Working as a Ward Sister/Charge Nurse entails great leadership, communication, innovating ways of working and maintaining patient safety at all times.
5 hours per week, days/nights/weekends/bank holidays.
