Water Testing & Environmental Technician

Permanent. This interesting and varied role that includes water testing, machinery maintenance, data analysis and reporting. Samples are taken from water to ensure they are compliant with permit requirements by physical and mechanical monitoring systems. The ideal candidate will have COSHH, knowledge of monitoring data sheets, good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and a keen interest in the environment.

Due to the rural location own transport is required. Ensure full Compliance with Environmental Permitting:

* Assist with the daily monitoring of water quality

* Ensure water analyses is recorded and captured on the Database

* Collate data and provide presentations on individual key tasks once per month

Assist with Risk Assessments on all tasks involving machinery and equipment

Waste Disposal

* Assist all waste carriers with loading and unloading as necessary

* Ensure all waste is stored appropriately and secured as required

* Be competent in all chemical waste procedures

* Support pollution contingency planning for all items listed in the Environmental Permit

* Supporting the collection of data and development of presentations for training purposes

Hours: 40 hours per week, day shift on rota 6-3pm and 8-5pm.
