Join Our Team as a SEND Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? Tradewind is looking for an experienced SEN teaching assistant (TA) to join our pre-school team in Wakefield for four and a half days a week, starting after the October half term on November 5th.
About the Role: We are seeking a SEN teaching assistant with a strong background in supporting children with Autism (ASC). You will play a crucial role in creating a warm and stimulating environment, guiding children through their early learning experiences.
Start Date: November 5, 2024 (immediately after the October half term)
Location: Nursery school setting in WakefieldYour Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, and emotional development, particularly for children with autism.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence, confidence, and curiosity.
Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to the teaching team and contributing to individual learning plans.
