This assignment duration will commence the middle

of June 2024 and complete at the end of the year/end of January 2025. This role will focus on the preparation of financial statements and coordination of the year end audit process.Your main responsibilities will include: Preparing the annual financial statements and for specific subsidiaries Being the main point of contact for external audit and ensuring completion within the agreed timetable. Preparing the intercompany schedule that will feed into the consolidated financial statements. Supporting the Financial Reporting Manager to prepare for the year end and audit process. Acting as the finance lead for matters relating to the group’s subsidiary entities Running the month end journals to ensure intercompany balances are recorded. Preparing balance sheet reconciliations to be reviewed Bookkeeping responsibilities for a specific entity of the group (e.g. ensuring the ledger is kept up to date, invoices are prepared, preparing month end bank reconciliations, updating bank mandates etc). Conducting and presenting detailed analysis to support the maintenance of the fixed asset module (e.g. remove asset disposals from the fixed asset register, managing physical verification exercises etc). Assisting the Financial Reporting Manager by covering month end tasks and contributing to ad hoc projects when required. The successful candidate will be a an immediately available or available at short notice Qualified Accountant with excellent financial accounting experience, ideally from a large company background (suitably qualified by Qualified by Experience Accountants

will also be considered). Likewise, you will have strong up to date knowledge of the technical accounting environment in the UK, hence able to demonstrate experience of producing statutory accounts and their associated external returns.
