Job Description

We are looking for a self‐starter and leader to deliver the successful construction of an alternative production site in South Wales. The position is ideally suited for a problem solver, who is comfortable to take on responsibility for project delivery and a growing team. The

purpose of this role is to secure value creation by developing, optimising, and operating the new production site. As such, the MD will manage and own engineering, EPC and a small delivery team focused on delivering the production facility to time and budget. The MD will also be responsible for stakeholder liaison, customer negotiations and central reporting together with relationship management with local communities / authorities.

The MD will be supported both by resources from the parent group. The MD will report to the shareholders in line with governance and oversight functions.

The Successful Applicant

  • Establish / Execute and deliver the governance structure of the division the parent group and its partners.
  • Manage the EPC contractor together with Owner's Engineer and ensure project is safely implemented as per EPC contract, on cost and on time, together with reporting to stakeholders.
  • Ensure safe construction and operations of the Company through promoting and establishing a safe working culture.
  • Minimise EPC contractor claims or/and cost to the Company and ensure best construction outcome for the Company in the long run (minimise potential O&M cost exposure).
  • Ensure the Company is timely established as per relevant requirements, including obtaining all permits and fulfilling other legal requirements.
  • Ensure all functions of the Company are established and properly managed.
  • Ensure the Company is sufficiently staffed with the right talent and within budget.
  • Ensure the team is sufficiently trained and ready to take on operation and maintenance activities as required.
  • Ensure operation and maintenance organisation and systems are setup timely and early operation and maintenance requirements are properly fulfilled.
  • Ensure operation and maintenance organisation and systems are functioning in a way to achieve best in class performance and to strive for continual improvements.
  • Prepare annual budgets in line with financial model and shareholder expectations.
  • Establish construction and operation phase KPIs, including HSE, commercial and technical.
  • Provide all regular and extraordinary reports as required by the relevant project documents and as requested by relevant parties.
  • Promote excellent conduct through leading by example.
  • Monitor industry developments to ensure the design remains best in class.
  • Develop the Operational and HSE procedures to be used once the site is commissioned.
  • Build the operational team.
