Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the banking industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering customer-centric digital products.

Responsibilities:

  1. Product Vision: Develop and communicate a clear vision for self-banking services that aligns with the company's strategic goals and customer needs.
  2. Product Roadmap: Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features and define the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.
  3. Requirements Gathering: Work closely with customers, business stakeholders, and development teams to gather and prioritize product requirements, ensuring that solutions meet user needs and deliver business value.
  4. Feature Definition: Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature specifications in collaboration with UX/UI designers, developers, and QA engineers.
  5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and other relevant departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle.
  6. Release Planning: Plan and coordinate product releases, including defining release scope, coordinating testing efforts, and ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
  7. Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), gather feedback from users, and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for product improvement and optimization.
  8. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that self-banking services comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards, working closely with legal and compliance teams as needed.
  9. Product Evangelism: Evangelize self-banking services internally and externally, including conducting training sessions, participating in industry events, and engaging with customers to gather feedback and drive adoption.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, computer science, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) as a Product Owner or similar role in the banking (Tier 1 banks) or financial services industry.
  • Deep understanding of self-service banking technologies, including online banking, mobile banking, and digital payments.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business needs into actionable product requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of agile development methodologies and experience working in agile/scrum environments.
  • Experience with product management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
  • Certification in Product Ownership (e.g., CSPO) or relevant agile certifications preferred.
