This is an exciting opportunity to join the Finance team of a fast-growing and exciting young brand. The Management Accountant role is individually responsible for preparing the management accounts for a luxury fashion brand and leading on cash flow forecasting along with key financial controls. You will report directly into the Finance Director and will line manage the credit controller.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the production of the monthly management accounts and the main point of contact for any queries
  • Involved with all aspects of the month-end-process including journal entries, preparation of monthly P&L's, variance analysis to budget, commentaries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Managing day-to-day finance functions (invoice posting, cash flow forecasting and management, payment approvals, credit cards).
  • Assisting with accounts payable in approving and paying invoices and dealing with the more challenging accounts payable queries.
  • Reconciling eCommerce customer receipts from variety of payment platforms including Paypal, and Shopify to customer invoices
  • Processing and reconciling credit card statements
  • Preparing ad-hoc expense analysis reports, categorising specific elements
  • Oversee and manage the output of our external accountants, including outsourced services of invoice processing, bank reconciliations and regulatory submissions.
  • Being the main point of contact for the production of annual accounts using external accountants
  • Regulatory submissions including VAT, intrastate, SAF-T, CIT
  • Overseeing the sales and purchase ledger, assisting in their good up-keep and processing financial data accordingly
  • Support in the completion of budgets and forecasts.
  • Help drive effective margin management across the business through Margin and COS calculations and analysis.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of relevant Management accounting experience
  • Fashion or FMCG experience in a small business preferred.
  • Speaks English fluently and ideally a European language.
  • University or College degree
  • Accounting qualification preferred
  • Has Proven PC literacy, strong Excel skills (Oracle NetSuite knowledge is an advantage)
