Senior Android Developer

12-month contract

Inside IR35 @ £440 per day

Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite in South East London, Greenwich

Contract starting October 2024

Our client has developed a real-time travel app, the app launched on iOS devices in August 2020 and on Android in December 2020. The first phase included multi-modal journey planning, real-time train status, nearby bus stops and live arrivals. To-date it has achieved over 4 million downloads across both platforms, as well as ratings of 4.7 and 4.4 respectively in the Apple and Android app stores.

During 2024/25 they aim to integrate account and payment functionality so that customers can plan, pay and travel in one all inclusive digital platform.

To be considered for this role you need to demonstrate proven experience in the following areas:

Key knowledge and skills required:

  • Proficient in developing, supporting, and maintaining high-profile Android mobile applications
  • Skilled in investigating and diagnosing production issues in complex Android mobile applications
  • Capable of collaborating with development teams to provide code and/or configuration fixes for Kotlin-based Android mobile applications
  • Expert in industry-standard development methodologies and tools
  • Experienced in integrating Android mobile applications with APIs and SDKs
  • Proven experience of working on large scale Android systems over the last 5 years

Contract Details:

This is an inside IR35 contract role, offering competitive remuneration of approximately £440 per day via an Umbrella company.
