Hours of work: 12 Hour Day shifts, working 6am 6pm: Week 1 =Working Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun (Wed & Thu off)
Week 2 =Working Wed & Thu (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun off)

This site produces two products - Polestar 200P and Polestar 200R serving high value Pharmaceutical Rubber, Polymers, Paints and Plastic Markets.

Joining our Maintenance Team; youll be responsible for providing mechanical and/or electrical knowledge and skills to maximise plant and equipment availability.

As a Maintenance Engineer the main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Carrying out routine preventive, corrective & breakdown maintenance
Fault finding, diagnostic and installation work
Carrying out Risk assessments and ensure all work areas are clean and free from hazards
Working from height and in confined spaces.

once fully competent, you will be required to join a rota system to provide out-of-hours support.

Ideally have an NVQ Level 3 qualification in mechanical and/or electrical discipline, or equivalent with indentured apprenticeship
Be willing to take further training to become multi skilled
Have previous experience of working with/ on pumps, mills, burners/furnaces/gas, intrusive chemical work and centrifuges, although all industrial backgrounds will be considered
Ideally have a background from within a commercial/ heavy industry, production or factory-based environment
