They are a property provider specialising in offices, workshops and self-storage. As a maintenance operative, you will need to be proactive and resourceful, capable of thinking for yourself with a keen desire to provide first rate customer service. You will be able to use systems to download work orders and upload work complete. Duties and Responsibilities: Statutory Testing/Inspections:

  • Ensure regular testing/inspection of Fire Safety Systems and complete the onsite fire log book
  • Complete temperature checks and flushing of cold and hot water systems and provide supporting paperwork to Facilities Management
  • Where failures are uncovered, rectify if possible, if not, report to Facilities Management
  • Fire door inspections
  • All compliance training will be provided
Reactive Repair:
  • Replace light bulbs
  • Changing locks where necessary
  • Minor Drainage/Plumbing repairs
  • Fault Finding issues on site
  • Minor building works to the premises where appropriate
  • Ceiling and carpet tile replacement
  • Carpet Cleaning
  • Low level gutter cleaning
Refurbishment:
  • Assist with clearance of abandoned goods after vacation of occupant from unit
  • Redecoration and refurbishment works to vacant units to ensure they are fit and ready to for new occupant
  • Removal of flooring or deep clean where damaged
  • Install floor finishes (carpet tiles, vinyl tiles)
  • Furniture moving/lifting to ensure office space has the correct number of desks/cupboards
  • Deep clean of all areas of units when all works completed before handover to new occupant
General Housekeeping:
  • Cleaning external signage
  • Sign removal and installation
  • Meter readings as and when required
  • Keeping the external areas of the site litter free and in good order including the perimeter fencing/walls
  • Pressure wash external areas including cladding, car parks etc
  • Monitor quality and levels of grit bins including all stock
Van Maintenance:
  • Ensure that the vehicle is road worthy at all times by completing regular checks
  • Be point of contact for lease company arranging regular servicing/maintenance
  • All stock items to be secured in the vehicle within a storage system
  • Abide by the speed limits of the vehicle
  • Complete van checklist
  • Clean vehicle weekly inside and out
