Solution Architect(EPOS)/ 6 month contract / Day rate negotiable / Hybrid

Here at Primark we have an exciting opportunity for an immediately available Solution Architect to join us on an initial 6 month contract with hybrid working where you must be willing to travel to our Reading office 1 day per week.
We are all about blending technology with the world of fashion, home goods, and more to craft memorable shopping experiences that bridge the gap between the digital and physical worlds.
Provides detailed guidance to multi-functional teams through project planning and other large collaboration efforts. Develops long term vision of technologies and solutions in the space. Collaborates with Technology leadership in planning and implementing of technology roadmaps. Ability to provide direction and take design ownership for projects which are delivered by a highly technical teams that supports a complex retail environment which includes:
Oracle Merchandise Operations Management suite
Online order management solution to support Primark’s Click & Collect offering
Negotiate with key stakeholders involving prioritisation of projects and resources.
• Responsible for identifying cross directorate and cross project dependencies, risks and activities and negotiating resolution to conflict.
• Providing Technical design assurance for new project and technical system upgrades and enhancements for both the business and suppliers, particularly in the area of SaaS/PaaS/Cloud. Previous experience of large-scale EPOS solution design, implementation and management.
• Understanding of Brick & Mortar store retail processes (including store backoffice) a distinct advantage.
• The Solution Architect must be able to, where necessary, push back on Primark’s partners and hold them to account to ensure the correct result is obtained.
• Experience in TOGAF and ITIL methodologies and delivering using them.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to a wide range of people at all levels including communicating complex technical issues to non-technical user base.
• Ability to travel within Europe and work flexible hours as required.
The Solution Architect best suited for this role will have in-depth experience of large-scale EPOS solution design, implementation and management.
