CloudPay is building a new CI/CD Pipeline and deployment system based on Cloud technologies as we introduce new capabilities to our Platform. As well as orchestration deployments, the pipeline will need to invoke multiple sets of automated tests.

The ideal candidate will also have responsibility for building and maintaining sophisticated virtual development environments.

Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will include:
  • Help streamlining the Software Development Life Cycle experience by designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to ensure the platform is deployed and tested in line with the agreed test, security, and release strategies.
  • Building and maintaining cost-effective virtual development environments to create a common experience for code and QA engineers.
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments: Work with Engineering Management, Release Management, Product Managers and Engineering Teams to devise test and release strategies.
  • Own critical Git repositories and help Release Management with merging and branching issues as necessary.
  • Train and engage with Engineering Teams to allow them to develop and maintain appropriate parts of the CI/CD pipeline
  • Train and share knowledge of DevOps best practices and technologies with Engineering teams.
Attributes anf Experience required:
  • Working on mid-large cloud solutions using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
  • Experience with Linux and scripting languages like Shell Script and Ruby; familiarity with Linux-based containers is necessary.
  • Experience configuring development tools and services (e.g., MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Selenium/WebDriver, monitoring, and alerting).
  • Experience with AWS and Elastic Kubernetes Services (EKS) or similar technologies
  • Cost Optimization experience is a distinctive advantage.
  • Experienced user and administrator of GIT repositories, an advantage.
  • Strong customer service ethos: Our agile engineering teams are regarded as customers and partners.
  • Effective communicator: Our teams are based in 4 countries, with many colleagues having English as a second language.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role.
