As a Senior Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in every dish served. About the job: Assist the Executive Chef in menu development, recipe creation, and food cost management. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, to ensure efficiency and quality. Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimise waste and optimise profitability. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Demonstrate creativity and innovation in culinary techniques and presentation. About you: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume, quality-driven restaurant environment. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Thorough knowledge of cookery techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment. Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment and adapt to changing priorities. A passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
