Want to join an innovative start-up who are developing immersive e-commerce websites that are compatible on all devices that allow people to browse like never before?
Our client is looking for a Frontend Engineer to help further develop these experiences. As the Frontend Engineer, you will be developing, not just mere websites, but environments where you will play a part in developing end products for devices from PCs, mobile devices and AR/VR headsets.
You will be working in a development consisting of the Engineering Manager, 3 Frontend Engineers and 2 Backend Engineers and have the opportunity to work alongside, and for, some of the world's most recognisable and exciting brands.
As the Frontend Engineer you will utilise modern frontend technologies and frameworks such as React, Next.js, and three.js to build immersive and interactive user interfaces. They are looking for clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and standards in software development and to Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications, optimizing components for maximum speed and scalability.
They are interested in speaking with Engineers who are at a Mid to Senior level of experience in their career who have some experience in taking ownership of complex technological problems and coming up with solutions. Experience of working in a small agile team who release software regularly is advantageous.
Some of the technologies you will need to have commercial experience with include –
- JavaScript, TypeScript
- React or similar FE frameworks, e. g. Next.js
- js or general OpenGL knowledge
- GLSL or other shading language
- The role is a fully remote position, however a hybrid set-up can be accommodated if that is your preference to work at their offices in London when needed.
