Disaster Recovery Specialist | Azure Environment | FinTech

  • 6 month contract with likely extensions
  • Circa £500 per day (TBC)
  • Outside IR35
  • Remote - ideally able to get into their London office once or twice a month.

It is essential that you are an SME in disaster recovery working specifically on cloud-related projects and programmes for success with this contract.

We are currently on the lookout for a seasoned Disaster Recovery Specialist / Architect to join our client on a contract basis, offering the chance to work on pivotal projects aimed at establishing robust disaster recovery solutions. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in cloud-based environments, particularly Azure and is passionate about designing and implementing comprehensive disaster recovery strategies that ensure business continuity and regulatory compliance for financial services entities. Our client is a well-established financial institute who are modernising their way to a FinTech bank status.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a transition and implementation plan for disaster recovery from an infrastructure perspective.
  • Lead the deployment of asset management systems, including ownership definitions and responsibilities.
  • Design and oversee the transition of backup and recovery processes to a managed service, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define what successful disaster recovery looks like and establish a functional disaster recovery setup.
  • Advise on the setup and maintenance of working environments to ensure minimal downtime in the event of a disaster.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Disaster Recovery Specialist / Architect, particularly in cloud-based environments (Azure ideally, but AWS/GCP will be fine).
  • Strong understanding of business continuity planning and disaster recovery regulations in the banking sector.

This is an exceptional opportunity to step in as a Disaster Recovery Specialist / Architect and make a significant impact within a leading organisation, ensuring the resilience and reliability of their services. If you are a results-driven professional with a strategic mindset and a detailed understanding of disaster recovery in cloud environments, we would love to hear from you.
